Adding Description to Sentences

This week we are looking at ways to add description to our sentences. As a class we create success criteria together
1. Use adjectives to describe nouns
2. Use adverbs to describe verbs
3. Include similes or metaphors.

Miss Lowden gave us very boring, simple sentences and we had to use our success criteria to add detail.

The band played.
The band played rock music.
The cool band played rock music.
The cool band played heavy rock music.
The cool, heavy metal rock band, played heavy rock music.
